This pack has been created with the intention of providing some inspiration for educators when planning their curriculum on the topic of Where I Live. This is an element of curricula included in the DES (Department of Education & Skills) inspection criteria.

The activities are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the varying types of Early Childhood Care & Education settings in operation within an Irish context. The suggestions in this resource pack are just that & educators will take ownership over the lessons and apply them as they feel appropriate to meet the needs of their cohort of children.

The themes and principles of both Aistear & Siolta have informed the ethos of the lesson plans.

Remember to have FUN!
